Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Scientist with 3+ years of experience in exploratory data analytics and predictive analytics. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in classification, regression, clustering, and time-series forecasting and be proficient in feature engineering, model evaluation, and explainability techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and drive business decisions.

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for predictive and prescriptive analytics.

• Work with structured & unstructured data to extract insights and create data-driven solutions.

• Apply classification, regression, clustering, and time-series forecasting techniques.

• Utilize Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, and deep learning models when appropriate.

• Conduct feature engineering and optimize model performance.

• Design end-to-end ML pipelines, from data preprocessing to model deployment.

• Work with SQL & NoSQL databases for data extraction and transformation.

• Implement model validation techniques (k-fold cross-validation, holdout validation).

• Evaluate models using Confusion Matrix, Precision, Recall, F1-score, RMSE, R², and AUC-ROC.

• Collaborate with data engineers and software developers to deploy ML models in production.

• (Optional) Work with LLMs and Prompt Engineering for AI-driven insights.

• (Optional) Build data visualization dashboards using Power BI / Tableau.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Programming Skills: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow)

• Machine Learning Algorithms: Decision Trees, Random Forest, XGBoost, Logistic Regression, K-Means, DBSCAN

• Deep Learning (Optional): Transformers, CNNs, RNNs for NLP or image tasks

• Data Handling: SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB, PostgreSQL)

• System Architecture: FastAPI, Uvicorn, Celery, Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure

• Model Evaluation: Performance metrics like Confusion Matrix, AUC-ROC, Precision, Recall, RMSE

• Domain Expertise (Preferred): BFSI, Healthcare & Pharma, Consumer Services

Required Background

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in a data science role, preferably in AI-driven products or enterprise analytics.
